Coaches Required Trainings
In order for a coach to be considered a KMSSL coach and coach the KMSSL Championship meet, the following requirements must be met prior to November 1st for the current season.
The following training certificates and signed forms (FIVE documents in total, PER COACH) must be submitted to our secretary, Corey Snyder. snyder.corey.j@gmail.com by November 1st.
What needs to be submitted:
- Athlete Protection Training Certificate
- Concussion Training Certificate
- Concussion signed Signature Form

1. Athlete Protection Training: Three programs are acceptable for meeting the requirement.
Team USA: https://training.teamusa.org/
USA Swimming: This training is good for two years as long as the certification hasn't expired. You must be a member of USA Swimming.

YMCA Redwood Training: This training is taken through the GKAISA Organization. Coaches who coach in GKAISA may already have this training.
2. Concussion Awareness Training: This training is required by the State of Tennessee every year for all coaches. IT HAS TWO PARTS: a video to watch with questions to answer. A certificate of completion can be downloaded and printed with the coach's name. The second part is a few pages of reading with a top page to initial several statements and sign at the bottom.

Copies of the video certificate and the signature page must be sent to the GKAISA vice president prior to June 1.
